After selection, stoppers follow the finishing process. Finishing ensure stoppers hygiene and suitability for food contact use, as well as the expected mechanical proprieties and other customer specifications.
WASHING
Washing ensures dust removing, limiting micro-organisms growth, then stopper hygiene. Stoppers look can be rendered even by treatment with whitening or colour coatings, suitable for food contact use.
After washing, stoppers are submitted to ventilation and drying for some days. When humidity level does not overcome 6-7%, stoppers canpass to next processing.
TIMBRATURA E LUBRIFICAZIONE
Stoppers printing is a process realized exclusively by branding irons. Print include the customers' logo, or other words and symbols.

Last processing is lubrication. On the stopper surface is deposited a thin layer of paraffin or silicone. When a bottle is uncorked, the stopper does not have to break or crumble.
Lubrication quality control depends on measuring of the extraction force. Having corked some bottles with the stoppers to be evaluated, after 24 hours, the applied force to uncork them is measured. Such measures, estimated in kg using a dynamometer, should be found between 25 and 35 kg.
After last controls, stoppers are sealed in polyethylene bags suitable for food, put in cardboard boxes and, at last, sent to our Customers.
